BRYN ROVERS AFC DUMMY CLUB AND TOUR

The tour has now been booked. We will be flying from Bristol airport on Friday April 20th 2012 at 18:50 and then arriving in Barcelona at around 21:00, which will mean its 22:00 Spanish time. We have a 40 minute drive then to Loret De Mar. The total price of the tour is £220 for an all inclusive weekend, it was a small amount more than i thought due to us having to fly directly in to Barcelona and not Loret. Also the first hotel they gave us reminded me of Fawlty Towers and the reviews were terriblel. We will have 3 full days there Saturday, Sunday and Monday before we fly back at 23:45 Monday evening. Before we fly back there will be an opportunity to see the Nou Camp for around £15.00 we can have a tour. We will have to arrange a bus to take us to Bristol, this will be sorted out at a later date.

So far 24 people have payed the full £100 deposit required and I have passed them on to the tour company. Deposits are now no refundable, so if you pull out you will get nothing back.

The dummy club is now getting out of hand, we have £200 outstanding and as you all know if you have not paid up in full come end of the season you will not get a fair share of the dummy club. If you need to know what you owe come and see me. It has also been passed by the committee that if any dummy club balances are not paid up by Christmas you will not be eligible to carry on next year (2012).We had to do this as of the amounts owing. Also from now on there will be no fine for missing two weeks in a row, as its too difficult to maintain who owes what. From now on if you don't have the item for the day you must pay £2.50.

The full £209 for the tour must be paid 12 weeks before the tour, so that looks like around the 20th of January, we need to discuss what we are to do about this as the football season and the dummy club will still be running at this point. What we could do is pay 3 payments each of £40, £40 and £40 during November, December and January then any money still in the dummy club when we go on tour can be divided accordingly.

BRYN ROVERS AFC EUROPEAN TOUR 2012

Having failed in our attempts to tour last season due to the inability of some people to pay deposits on time, well okay everyone didn't pay deposits. We are now looking at organising a Tour for the end of next season and a weekend in Spain will be arranged, all inclusive food and beer 14 hours a day is £180. Cwmaman have reported back to me with a glowing reference about the place. I have also spoken to Malcs, Andrew Evs and a few others who have been there before.

We will be putting the £324.10 we already have from the defunct 2010 Tour into the fund, and it was agreed in the meeting that this will go towards the transport to the airport. Anyone not connected with playing for the club will not get a share of this, or anyone who didnt partake in the fundraising.

Any current/former players who was involved in the raising of this will be welcome to attend the tour, as the money was in the beginning to be put towards funding the tour to Bournemouth (2010) This cash will not be divided in any other way as it was mentioned initially what the purpose of the fundraising was.

Any former players attending the tour are expected to pay the full tour price of £220 plus airport travel on top of this.

The return of the Dummy Club where a fine of £2.00 will be issued for everyone not playing by the rules The item will be picked on a Thursday night by a random player each week, and then messages will be sent out, if you do not bring the item 2 weeks in a row there will be a separate fine imposed of £2.00. Every player going on tour must have a dummy on them at all times, failure to do this will impose a 50p fine, players can only be caught on one occasion per day. If the item is fancy dress this will be for after the game up until 6pm and the fine for not taking part will be £5.

Any room damages etc while on tour will have to be sorted out by the people who are in the room, nobody else on the tour will be expected to foot any costs. Passports and holiday insurance will need to be sorted out individually; again this is the responsibility of the person involved.

There will be a draft performed on the day of the tour to see the order of the rooms, the rooms will sleep 3 or 4 people, and good luck to anyone rooming with Westlife.

Any new players will have to play a minimum of 12 games for the club before they will be allowed on tour. There will be no exceptions for anyone. As stated at the start of the tour meeting the tour is for club members and players or former players.

The training match will continue one night a week with £1 being paid by each player. The way the cash will be distributed at the end will depend on how many sessions you attended. As was passed in the meeting players are welcome to pay cash for sessions missed, but If 4 sessions in a row are missed you will be eliminated from the cash distribution at the end. There will be no separate pot for people not attending the tour.

Fines

Not Training, Dirty Boots and Socks 50p each (must be brought into the pub before the game)
Being late 50p (a phone call must be made to the managers before 11am)
Not coming back to the pub after a home game until 6pm £5.00 (unless a valid reason has been given and verified by the tour committee)
Not having a dummy at all times 50p (1 time a day max)
Swear box after every home game up until 6pm 20p per swear word.
Not having the dummy club item £2.00

Due to the feedback I received from our fancy dress day and the reluctance of some players to firstly dress up and then to not comply with the forfeits instructed or pay their fines, what we will be doing is making it compulsory for the firsts and seconds, as the turn out from them was outstanding, even taking into consideration that the seconds didn't even have a fixture. Anybody from the thirds is welcome to come on tour however I must stress I will not be chasing anyone for cash they must bring it to me. I have spoken to a few thirds already who are interested. Anybody not going on tour from the firsts and seconds will have their own separate pot from which they will get a percentage of all funds raised.
